Return & Refund Policy

Important: Orders placed on Local Marketplace are fulfilled directly by our Shopify Collective suppliers unless otherwise stated. Returns and exchanges follow the supplier’s policies, which we help coordinate.

How returns work on our marketplace

We partner with independent suppliers who ship orders directly to you. Each supplier sets their own return and refund policy, which is shown on the product page or provided after purchase.

If a supplier does not publish a policy, our Marketplace Standard Policy (below) applies.

To start any return or report an issue, contact us at localmarketplace.co.24@gmail.com with your order number. We’ll coordinate the next steps with the supplier and send you the correct return address and/or label.

Do not send items back to us or to any address not provided by our team—unauthorized returns may be refused.

 

Marketplace Standard Policy (applies only when a supplier has no published policy)

Return window: 30 days from the date you receive the item.

Item condition: Unworn/unused, in original packaging, with tags, and including the receipt or proof of purchase.

Approval required: Returns must be requested and approved in advance. We’ll provide the return address and instructions.

Handling labels & costs: Unless otherwise stated, return shipping is the buyer’s responsibility. If a prepaid label is issued, the return cost (and any applicable restocking fee) may be deducted from the refund.

Non-returnable items (common examples):

  • Perishables (e.g., food, flowers, plants)

  • Custom or personalized products

  • Personal care items (e.g., beauty products)

  • Hazardous materials, flammables, or gases

  • Final-sale/clearance items and gift cards

(Exact exclusions can vary by supplier; check the product page or ask us.)

 

Damages, defects, or wrong item

Please inspect your order upon delivery and email localmarketplace.co.24@gmail.com within 48 hours if something is damaged, defective, or incorrect. Include your order number, photos of the issue, and the packaging. We’ll work with the supplier to make it right (replacement, exchange, or refund per the supplier’s policy).

 

Exchanges

The fastest way to get the item you want is to place a new order once your return is approved. Exchanges are otherwise handled per the supplier’s policy.

 

Refunds

Once the return is received and inspected by the supplier, we’ll notify you of the approval or denial. If approved, the refund will be issued to your original payment method. Please allow 5–10 business days for your bank or card issuer to post the refund.

EU customers (if applicable)

If your order is shipped into the European Union, you may have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal to cancel your order for any reason. Items must be in the same condition you received them, unworn/unused, with tags and original packaging. Some exceptions apply (e.g., custom items, perishables). Where applicable, supplier-specific terms and local laws govern.

 

Supplier-specific terms take precedence

If a supplier’s published return/refund policy differs from the Marketplace Standard Policy above, the supplier’s policy will apply to that product. We’re here to help you navigate any questions—just email localmarketplace.co.24@gmail.com.
